Forgotten Before Goodbye
I drift through the corridors of her memories,
Yet never find a path to her heart.
I glimpse unspoken feelings in her eyes,
But nowhere do I find a place for mine.
I read stories between her words,
I find colors even in the shadows,
Yet every page she writes
Leaves a quiet emptiness where I should have been.
Night after night,
Rain after rain,
The story keeps weaving itself,
Thread by thread,
Into a fate neither of us chose.
Perhaps I was never meant to be the destination,
Only a passing season she would one day forget.
And when my name fades into silence,
The rain will still remember the tears I never let fall.
So if one day I am gone,
Do not search for me among the stars.
I have already become the echo between her memories,
A love that lived quietly,
And disappeared even more quietly.
