Where You Are Not,Yet Remain
Sometimes I feel
I love emptiness.
There is no fear
of getting lost in it,
no thought of losing anything.
There is only the hope of finding something,
perhaps someday,
waiting for that one day.
There is no sorrow in this waiting,
no weight of emotions
bending me down.
In this white sky,
the black clouds are not a symbol of fear.
They are an invitation,
to a sudden shower of rain,
to a few drops of memory.
This darkness is not afraid of light.
Nor does it search for it.
It does not stay beside the light,
nor does it say,
"Come, let us walk the same road."
In this emptiness,
I can be happy as I wish,
think whatever I want,
do what I have imagined.
Things can be said
without being spoken.
Someone can be seen
without ever being seen.
And there,
where they are not,
yet somehow remain,
there is this emptiness.
A place with no colour,
no scent,
yet somehow
the heart feels full.
I love you,
emptiness.
Long live emptiness.
I don't really know
whether I should have fought for my love.
Should I be happy knowing
that she is happy now,
or should I hurt myself believing
that she would have been happier with me?
What will this world call me?
A brave man,
or a coward?
